Currently, in Hypixel SkyBlock, there are 6 types of Slayer: Zombie, Spider, Wolf, Enderman, Blaze, and Vampire. Each type of Slayer has their own unique strategies pertaining to each boss: this guide will detail useful strategies and gear progression for each specific Slayer.
NOTE: The gear outlined below are simply recommended prerequisites, and strictly following this exact progression is not mandatory.
Zombie Slayer involves killing
Zombies and culminates in killing the
Revenant Horror. It is widely considered to be the easiest Slayer, due to its low stats and predictable actions: however, inexperienced or weak players may struggle with defeating one.
Strategies
Tier I
The Tier I
Revenant Horror is relatively easy to kill due to its low ❤ Health and ❁ Damage. Its only ability, Life Drain, drains the player's ❤ Health every 2.5s. Not a lot of gear is required to defeat a Tier I Revenant Horror as it is barely stronger than a basic
Graveyard Zombie.

Tier II
The Tier II
Revenant Horror, while still relatively easy, is a decent step up from the Tier I variant. As you progress through Zombie Slayer, you will notice that the Revenant Horror's ❁ Damage is much, much lower than its ❤ Health: as a result, you can focus more on dealing damage.
The Revenant Horror, at Tier II, gains the Pestilence ability, which deals AoE damage. As a result, one should also prioritise efficient healing through items such as the
Wand of Healing and
Wand of Mending.

The Tier III
Revenant Horror is a significant increase in difficulty when considering the previous tiers. At Tier III, the Revenant Horror gains the Enrage ability: every 40s, the Revenant Horror will increase its attack range by +50% and increase damage dealt from Pestilence by +500%.
It is imperative for players to get their damage up significantly, since killing the Revenant Horror quickly allows you to avoid its Enrage phase.

Tier IV
The Tier IV
Revenant Horror, despite not having any new abilities, has substantially higher ❤ Health and ❁ Damage from its predecessor, at 1.5m ❤ Health and 400 ❁ Damage. While the Tier IV Revenant Horror's damage may not appear as a considerable increase from its Tier III variant, this is increased by both Life Drain, Pestilence, and Enrage.
As is the case with previous tiers of the Revenant Horror, the best strategy would be to maintain a balance of dealing high damage and healing.

It is highly not recommended to use a set of armor that grants high ❤ Effective Health. Your armor contributes significantly to your ❁ Damage output: it is wiser to increase your healing or invest in Pets that grant high ❤ Effective Health, such as a | ||

Tier V
The Tier V
Atoned Horror is completely unique from the
Revenant Horror, both possessing completely unique abilities and having significantly more ❤ Health and ❁ Damage.
- Redemption allows the Atoned Horror to heal rapidly.
- Explosive Assault allows the Atoned Horror to throw explosive TNT at the player. A radius appears under the area where the TNT will land: damage dealt is dependent on the distance of the player to the center. This attack does a deceptively high amount of damage, so prioritise avoiding it even if it means dealing less damage to the boss unless it is on low health.
- Thermonuclear causes the Atoned Horror to stand still as it charges up, releasing a volley of lightning within a 7 block radius, damaging all players within depending on how many times they have been damaged. This damage will almost always instantly kill you, so do not make the mistake of trying to tank the attack.
- Note that this ability will only be used after the boss has been alive for around 30 seconds, so you can ignore it if you can consistently kill the Atoned Horror before that time.
- The boss is also immune to most ๑ Ability Damage, meaning mage items such as the
Ink Wand or
Hyperion are mostly useless against it in terms of their abilities.
To kill the Atoned Horror, a popular strategy is to hold down ⇧ Shift+S and repeatedly hit the boss in order to defeat it. By sneaking, you can avoid moving too fast to the point where you can no longer hit the boss while still avoiding the TNT. This strategy works best with around 370+ ✦ Speed.
While the Atoned Horror is charging up its Thermonuclear attack, it can still be damaged. As a result, if its ❤ Health is low enough, you can kill it while it is charging up and avoid the lightning.
