The Left-Click Mage is a subsect of the Mage class within Dungeons that focuses heavily on ☠ Crit Damage, ✎ Intelligence, and ❁ Strength. They often depend on using their Mage Staff passive to attack, hence the name Left-Click, as opposed to Right-Click Mages who use their abilities to attack.
An important thing to note is that there is no early-game for Left-Click Mage. Left-Click Mage is generally only used in Master Mode, with its first practical use being in The Catacombs - Floor VII: as a result, you will not be using LCM in early floors of the Catacombs. Left-Click Mage is both expensive and only useful in the endgame.
It is recommended to use a Right-Click Mage setup during clearing, and to swap to a LCM setup during blood rush and the bossfight.
Recommended Weapons
As opposed to regular Mages, LCMs will prioritise both high ❁ Strength, ☠ Crit Damage, and ❁ Damage and high ✎ Intelligence to maximise their damage dealt with the Mage Staff passive.

Catacombs XVII (when dungeonised)

The Midas' Sword, when reforged to Gilded, has comparable (albeit marginally less) stats when compared to a Dark Claymore and significantly high ❁ Damage, maxing out at a +225 bonus for ❁ Damage and ❁ Strength at 250,000,000 coins paid in the Dark Auction when upgraded with Golden Fragments: however, you will need a Lvl 200 Golden Dragon Pet and . It is worth going for as an alternative to the Dark Claymore, but is still slightly edged out in terms of raw stats.

Hyperion
Floor VII completion
The Hyperion is one of the best weapons for both RCM and LCM, granting both high base ❁ Strength, ❁ Damage, and ✎ Intelligence. When all Necron's Blade Scrolls are applied to a Hyperion, its Wither Impact ability provides both substantial damage and healing, making it exceptional for LCM. However, note that it finds more usage in the boss fight than clearing, due to its +50% ❁ Damage increase towards ☠ Wither mobs, making it the best option against the 4 Wither Lords.

Dark Claymore

Master Mode - Floor VII completion
The Dark Claymore sports the same +500 ❁ Damage as the Giant's Sword, as well as +100 ❁ Strength, +100 ☠ Crit Damage, and +2 Ⓢ Swing Range. This, obviously, results in even higher damage than a Giant's Sword: however, it has an incredibly high requirement and its damage output is comparable to a 250m Midas' Sword.

Storm's Armor

Storm's Armor is, realistically, the only armor set that should be used as an LCM, granting significant ✎ Intelligence. It pairs well with a Hyperion and reduces damage taken by ☠ Wither mobs by 10%: it is the definitive armor set for Left-Click Mage. During the boss fight, it is important to note that you do not swap out the helmet for Wither Goggles: it should only be used during blood rush and clearing. The recommended reforge is Ancient.

The Wither Cloak Sword is exceptional QoL for negating damage. Its Creeper Veil ability is incredibly useful for blocking damage and granting a lot of ❈ Defense. It is best used when trying to block attacks that have the capability to instantly kill you, and should be enchanted to Ultimate Wise V.

Bonzo's Mask and Spirit Mask are useful for preventing you from dying, since the Clownin' Around and Second Wind abilities can be used in tandem with each other when one is on cooldown. The Ragnarock may seem unassuming, but its Ragnarock ability, which grants 1.5x the ❁ Strength of the weapon onto the player for 10s after not taking damage for 3s: this can be used in the beginning of the phases in M5–M7, most notably when entering Storm's phase, when entering the Core Entrance, before entering Necron's phase, and before starting The Wither King's phase. To utilise this item fully, Hot, Fuming Potato Books, Perfect Jasper Gemstones, and a Golden Dragon Pet are recommended.

Epic Phoenix Pet

Phoenix Pet
The Phoenix Pet, albeit extremely rare, has some decent use cases: most notably, Rekindle grants temporary immunity to death, making it useful for scenarios where you will be taking large bursts of damage (e.g. from Livid's clones in M5 and from lava in M7). It is not worth upgrading to LEGENDARY, as its base stats and perks are not upgraded, and its Eternal Coins and Magic Bird perks are outclassed by a Piggy Bank, Booster Cookie, and Mystical Mushroom Soup.

Golden Dragon Pet

The Golden Dragon Pet is the definitive Left-Click Mage pet, granting heavily increased ❁ Damage, ❁ Strength, and ⚔ Bonus Attack Speed. It buffs golden weapons, which does buff the Midas' Sword, despite it not being best-in-slot for Left-Click Mage: regardless, its still the best pet for raw damage and is required for LCM.

The Pet Item you want to put on your Pet is entirely up to you, but a few recommended ones are below.

Notes
| Weapons
| Sharpness VI
By the time you're playing as LCM, you will need Sharpness VI on your weapon of choice, if not Sharpness VII. All weapons should have this regardless.
| Drain
Unlike Life Steal, which is better for RCM builds, Drain is affected by your Mage Beam's ☠ Crit Damage and can ensure substantial survivability.
| Prosecute
Prosecute increases your damage per percentage of health on your target, making it useful for one-shotting mobs: this makes it better for clearing, and should be paired on your Withered Dark Claymore.
| Execute
Execute increases your damage per per percentage of health missing on your target, making it better for targeting mobs with lots of health: this makes it better during the bossfight, and should be paired on your Chimera V Fabled Hyperion.
| Armor
| Mana Vampire
These 4 mutually exclusive enchants will be very useful as you will be using ✎ Mana very often as a Mage, meaning that you will be able to receive a lot of healing, ❈ Defense, ❁ Strength, or ⫽ Ferocity.

| Hardened Mana
| Strong Mana
| Ferocious Mana

| Growth VI
You should have at least Growth VI and Protection VI by the time you're running M7, if not Growth VII and Protection VII. The increased ❤ Effective Health may seem marginal, but it will benefit you a lot in the long-term.
| Protection VI
A good Ultimate Enchantment is also vital for decent survivability and efficient Mage progression.

Notes
| Weapons
| Chimera
Chimera is the only Ultimate Enchantment you should be using on an LCM weapon: despite being incredibly expensive, it grants incredibly high damage when paired with a Golden Dragon Pet. Chimera III or Chimera IV can suffice in earlier floors of Master Mode, but Chimera V is required by the time you're running M7.
| Armor
| Legion
Legion is the best Ultimate Enchantment for a Left-Click Mage, since the buffs to raw damage and Combat Stats are extremely useful, especially in M5–M7. Players on a budget can use Legion III for the time being on lower floors, but Legion V is imperative and required for players running M7.
