Magic Find — hypixel skyblock

✯ Magic Find (✯ MF) is one of the core player statistics. It is a Stat that affects the drop chance of obtaining rare drops from monsters and bosses.

Mechanics

✯ Magic Find is the bonus chance to find rare drops from enemies.

✯ Magic Find increases the drop chance of rare items using this formula: $Chance = BaseChance * (1 + (\frac{MagicFind}{100}))$
If the drop is a Pet, this formula is used: $Chance = BaseChance * (1 + (\frac{PetLuck + MagicFind}{100}))$

When a rare item is dropped, the amount of ✯ Magic Find the player currently has is displayed at the end of the drop message. This does not increase ✯ Magic Find.

✯ Magic Find does not affect drops from most Mobs with a higher drop chance than 5%. Consequently, having high ✯ Magic Find can decrease the drop chance of 3Occasional^(20%) drops from Slayer bosses.^[1]

Increasing Base Magic Find

Players have 0 base ✯ Magic Find. The base ✯ Magic Find can be increased by collecting unique pets.

To obtain the maximum possible ✯ Magic Find in the Rift Dimension, the player must obtain all of the following:

Magic Find V Account Upgrade (+5 ✯)
Booster Cookie (+15 ✯)
Beacon V + Scorched Power Crystal (+6 ✯)
Century Cake of the Next Dungeon Floor (+1 ✯)
Necron's Ladder completed (+1 ✯)
Diana's Bookshelf completed (+1 ✯)
Extremely Real Shuriken (+5% ✯ and an additional +5 ✯ against Slayer Bosses)

This results in a total of 35.45 ✯ Magic Find against Riftstalker Bloodfiend (which is the only mob with ✯ Magic Find drops in the Rift).

Trivia

The current Magic Find cap is 900 ✯ Magic Find.
- This was achieved by u/ChayUwU on Reddit by using a bug where drill engines would give a lot of stats, which included Magic Find.^[2] (for more info regarding the bug visit the Drills page)
