Cold — hypixel skyblock

❄ Cold is a player mechanic in the ⏣ Glacite Tunnels and ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts that lowers ⸕ Mining Speed and ✦ Speed.

Mechanics

❄ Cold increases within the ⏣ Glacite Tunnels and ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts. Every 5 seconds, 1 ❄ Cold is added to the player. The time it takes to increase ❄ Cold is affected by ❄ Cold Resistance. When the player reaches 100 ❄ Cold, they die instantly.

Entering the ⏣ Dwarven Base Camp or ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts will reset ❄ Cold.

Every 1 ❄ Cold the player has above their ❄ Cold Resistance reduces their ⸕ Mining Speed by 0.5% and every 25 ❄ Cold reduces ✦ Speed cap by 25% regardless of ❄ Cold Resistance.

Inside ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts the ❄ Cold builds up 25% faster. Getting hit by Glacite Maniacs increases player's ❄ Cold by 1.

Decreasing Cold

❄ Cold can be managed in various ways. ❄ Cold Resistance increases the time needed to gain 1 ❄ Cold while the following decrease ❄ Cold outright.

Trivia

The Phoenix Pet's Rekindle ability saves the player from dying to 100 ❄ Cold.
- When this happens, the player gets teleported back to the ⏣ Dwarven Mines spawn point without the death penalty.
The Mammoth Pet's Wooly Coat ability gives the player a 1% → 100% chance to not recieve ❄ Cold when being damaged by enemies in the ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts.
